A Little Bit About Me...

Since the third grade, I have been striving to always do my best in music. I kept improving and eventually was able to lead myself to several orchestras state wide and across the coast. After a lot of hard work, I made my way to Carnegie Hall with the New York Youth Symphony. I decided on enrolling to the Ithaca College school of music, studying under Nicholas Walker. Francois Rabbath, a world-renowned double bass musician, demonstrated his techniques as well as taught me for a week. During the last three years I have conducted a full string orchestra in a movement of Brahms Fourth Symphony as well as I have volunteered at my High School and teach my knowledge to prospective string music majors and other music students.

High School regents final grades were 98 on Algebra. 96 on geometry and 78 on trigonomitry (hardest class in high school). I believe I got a B in calculus both in high school and college. Have privately tutored math students in high school and college as well as over the past four years. Helped several students pass GED as well as do well in Algebra and Geometry. A Little Bit About Me...

Math and science did not always come easy to me as a student, so I know how frustrating it can be for someone to struggle in school. As a tutor, I work hard to give my students the confidence they need to succeed in and outside of the classroom. I find that it helps when students understand why the concept they’re working on is important and what it can actually be used for out in the real world. Focusing on this purpose gives students motivation, and I use this idea as often as possible.
