I am a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of accounting and finance experience. Although I have no formal teaching degree, I feel that I would be an excellent tutor. First, I have successfully trained many employees over the years. Second, my two sons, ages 21 and 19 graduated numbers 2 and 1 in their high school classes, respectively. I have held a strong passion for history since I was an undergrad at Radford University. As a graduate student at Hollins University I was able to study a broad spectrum of academic fields with an intense focus on history. I am currently employed at Virginia Western Community College as an adjunct professor of both World and American History. I am also currently applying to Virginia Tech for a PHD in the Study of Science and Technology on Society program.
