A Little Bit About Me...

I have volunteered for both summer camps (at local science museum) and at vacation bible school programs. I worked at a daycare for 2 years working with a 2 year old class, then worked as a preschool teacher for another year and a half. I have also worked as a Latin tutor, both for a semester as a teaching assistant to a high school class, and periodically with individual students while in college. Currently I am working on helping develop a summer science camp course at a local museum.
I feel like it is important to connect to students on a personal level yet still retain a professional attitude. Children tend to respond to someone who is fun and friendly, instead of a person who chooses not to connect with students in this way. I worked as the department tutor for a first semester calculus based physics course at my university. I also graded undergraduate physics homework for second semester calculus based physics. Throughout my undergraduate education, I worked as a research during the summer and post graduation, I spent continued school for a year as a graduate student. Then I took a year off to see the world as a consultant. A Little Bit About Me...

While I was attending college, I was a tutor for the following classes: Accounting, Finance, and Algebra. I am an excellent student and have a full knowledge of accounting and math that can be applied in the classroom as well as a "real world" experience. In addition to supervising and training other employees within my employers accounting department, I have also had the privilege of being in charge of staffing an intern who complimented me frequently on my competence and ability to instruct in a professional manner that was easily understood and easy to follow.
