I try to empower students to learn how to improve their writing. I start by showing what works well, the strengths of the piece itself. I then show them what can be improved in the work with further revision. I often will use examples of first drafts of famous and acclaimed authors, and sometimes use my own work as an example of poor first drafts and how a work can improve with revision. Literature is one of my top subjects!

College Undergrad Looking to Tutor English Students

Not only was English my favorite subject as well as the one I was most proficient in in high school, it eventually became my major in college. I majored in Journalism at The University of New Hampshire, and while I have not yet received my Bachelor's of Arts from the institution I am a mere handful of credits away from earning it (9, to be exact), an accomplishment I am attempting to achieve by transferring credits over from The Community College of Rhode Island.
