I began my journey into the Wilson Program with a desire and dedication to help my oldest child, who is dyslexic, with his academic struggles, specifically with reading and spelling. Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests. I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused.
