A Little Bit About Me...

Prior to becoming an HSE Instructor, I tutored youth in a juvenile detention center. Currently, work for Dutchess Community College teaching HSE. I started working with Dutchess Community College in March of 2014 as a substitute HSE Instructor. In October of 2014, I was promoted to full-time HSE Instructor with my own classroom. I work with a variety of students aged 16-35; My position involves helping students prepare for the HSE exam, learn studying and test taking strategies, and brush up on basic mathematical skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

Working with students and education has been a part of my life for about 11 years. I first began doing so in high school, around 1999 working as a volunteer with the YMCA. Eventually I became a counselor and would work my way up to Camp Director. I am proud to say that I am the first of my family to attend a University. Currently I am a senior at Cuny Lehman College in the Bronx, NY where I study English Literature and minor in Secondary Education. Recently I have just returned from studying at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. The year abroad helped me to better understand my culture and gain a stronger grip on my native language.
