The first step in tutoring is to assess the need of the individual and determine what area or areas of learning or skill need to be addressed. It is also necessary to determine the student's learning style so that teaching will be as efficient and successful as possible. I am able to put students at ease, providing as stress-free an environment as possible, and use humor and encouragement as a way of keeping the student interested and engaged.
While working toward my bachelor's and master's degrees, I was an honor student and a member of three honor societies.
