I believe we all learn in different ways, and I am always open minded in finding the best way for that student I am working with at that time. I believe everyone can achieve the highest of goals if we all strive for that success and find out a way to get there. I have earned a BS in Chemistry and a minor in Math. I am currently working as a chemist, so I have kept up with all the new studies that are taking place right now. I am a Professional Engineer with 10+ years work experience in USA and 15+ years from India along with 2 Bachelors' and 16 credit of hours of MBA from Univ of Arkansas at Little Rock AR. As an Engineer I have knowledge and understanding of math and science as I have used and continue to use them in my daily work. I have also trained shop floor technicians on application of these concepts in shop floor work. I excelled in mathematics at the Naval Academy. Frequently, I provided help to my classmates as an informal tutor. At the conclusion of two and a half years of study, I was ranked 7th in my class in mathematics. I followed the same pattern in high school. On some occasions, I was able to explain to the class a better way to solve a math problem than the teacher had given.
My philosophy is to first cut through the jargon than frequently confuses students. I gained outstanding customer service skills from my experience as a vehicle maintenance journeyman and quality control technician. Prior to my service, I taught Calculus and Precalculus at the University of Georgia as well as graded, tutored, and supervised supplemental Calculus labs. I was responsible for over 100 students during my tenure as a graduate student, and was awarded the University's prestigious "Outstanding Student Teacher Of The Year" award in 2006.
