I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.

From my tutoring experience in college, I have learned that everyone has a different learning style. In order to be an excellent tutor, one needs to adapt to their tutee’s needs. One also needs to be patient with their tutee. It is very important to be able to explain a problem in several different ways in case the first few ways do not make sense to the tutee.
