As someone who felt in my youth that if I could only pay attention I could learn anything has taught me how to break down the barriers to focus and how it can shape a students success in any discipline. Focusing on my learning style has taught me how to demonstrate complex ideas in ways that are easy to absorb. I tend to find different ways to relate material to students in ways that are fun. After that placement exam, it was decided that I did not have to take any English courses, or, I would take more advanced courses. I did choose the latter.
