English is one of my top subjects!

I believe each student has an optimum learning style and I try to match my teaching strategies to that style. When working with adults, I try to establish motivations for learning first and then move on to the next step - how best to master the infomration or skill.

My comments on tutoring English : I have tutored in English for the past year at the High School level and also have past experience teaching and tutoring at the middle school level.

I like to nurture my students without enabling them. I tend to ask my students pointed questions about the subject at hand to inspire critical thinking and push them to arrive at their own interpretation of the correct answer. I feel that this best prepares them for college-level work.
I graduated from Princeton University with a BA (cum laude) in History and will be starting a Ph.D. program in History in the fall.
