A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and working with different age groups. I believe in " Back to basis". I also believe in repetition in order to acheive their goals. My previous experience was that if we give children a concrete foundation in early age, will eventually all children can meet their potential goals. I strongly believe that I can make different children's future as well as education. I have a patient and I take my job very seriously. I was an outstanding high school athlete and was awarded an athletic scholarship to play basketball and more importantly get an education. I earned a bachelors degree in Biology and went back and earned a degree in Secondary Education. I have successfully taught and coached at all levels for 20 years. I gained the overall experiences of dealing with students in and out of the classroom. I earned a masters of Science degree and tutored math and science professionally at the collegiate level. I taught undergraduate Physics for 9 years at Colby College, a liberal arts college in Waterville, Maine. I emphasized both conceptual understanding and problem solving. Since Physics is a highly mathematical subject, I also taught a lot of Math techniques, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Another important component of any science is the communication of scientific results, and I placed a heavy emphasis in my classes on students learning how to write clear and well-organized research papers and lab reports. My own writing experience is substantial; I am first author on ten articles published in professional journals. I also excelled in my high school and college French classes and spent a year living in Paris.
