My grammar and usage knowledge is quite extensive, and I love tutoring writing and composition. Being that I am patient and caring I know that it wouldn't take long for them to get comfortable with me and have me assist them. I believe that every good deed should be rewarded and if the student is doing well he shall be treated so, with a possible treat or even a pat on the back. I believe in vitamin D! You may ask what this has to do with it. Well, bear with me. I liken the curriculum to calcium and the presentation to vitamin D. Taking calcium supplements is a good idea, but it does us absolutely no good if our bodies don't absorb them. We need vitamin D in order to absorb calcium. Likewise, students need good presentation to absorb the material. This "vitamin D" involves explaining the material in terms the students can understand, getting to know them so you can meet them where they are at, and engaging them with your own excitement for the material.
