Have tutored peers and younger students starting in high school and continuing throughout my undergraduate. Fundamental understanding is what is most important. Just knowing which equation to use for a certain type of problem will not help a student succeed in future courses. Students should also know that repetition is the best way to master a skill.

My comments on tutoring Algebra I : I scored a 100% on the NY Algebra Regents. I homeschooled my two daughters and they both passed the Algebra ECAalmost at the Pass Plus range. I am currently homeschholing my son in Algebra 1. I love math and love solving for the unknown quantity.
