My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : Excel applications are used in any workplace.

I have been in the medical field for 23 years. I have taught Medical Associates Degree, Medical Coding and Medical Assisting Certification programs for 9 of those years concurrently. I have worked in medical offices, hospital, and diagnostic clinics. Curriculum development at area colleges in the Dallas area for medical programs. I enjoy teaching students, and watching them empower themselves with knowledge while building self-esteem.
Whatever style that can be implemented to create a learning environment. Multiple teaching styles to relate information or word play that allows the connection of information.

I'm certified in both elementary general and special education. I've taught for the past 19 years. I have my masters in educational administration and will soon be a certified educational diagnostician. My favorite subjects are reading and math. I can tutor/teach writing but it's not my favorite subject. My philosophy is that every child can learn but our job as teachers is to figure out the best way to meet their learning needs. If it's not fun I don't want to do it and the students feel the same way. Technology: I create district trainings using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Camtasia. While studying to obtain my two bachelor degrees, a BS in Biomedical Science and a BA in Chemistry, I have had many opportunities to develop my leadership, interpersonal, and tutoring skills. I was involved in several organizations at Texas A&M University that incorporated tutoring experiences and also worked for the university tutoring student-athletes. I do not believe in becoming frustrated with children that do not understand as it only raises their frustration level as well. When I was in high school, I decided upon attending Oklahoma State University, based upon the fact that OSU sponsored a high school scholastic competition, whereas OU was only known for football. If that does not make me boring enough, I represented my school and placed 8th in the state for Algebra. Not too bad for a small middle-class parochial school. Naturally enough, I was the best at my school. When I finally went to OSU, I studied Electrical Engineering, obtaining a Master's degree. How did I get to Texas? -- Texas Instruments of course!
I have two teenage sons, both of whom I have tutored through pre-AP Algebra, the oldest is in pre-Calculus this year. I tend to take a holistic approach, showing "why" the student needs to know the material, and "where" it fits in with other disciplines, instead of just "how" to do it.
