American History is one of my top subjects! Attended Salisbury University for a year in hopes of Pursuing a History Degree. Definitely a History Buff.

I graduated from Washington High in 2006 with my High School Diploma. From there I went to Worwic Community College part time while working full time to pursue an Associates of the Arts in General Studies. This degree was completed in 2010. After that I moved on to Salisbury University to pursue a Bachelor's Degree with a dual major in History and Psychology with Minors in Philosophy and Women's Studies. After one year of study I found myself suffering financially so I returned to Worwic Community College to pursue an Associates of Applied Science in Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Management with a specialization in Hotel Management because Ocean City is a predominantly tourist based town. As a graduate I have done tutoring to enhance my credibility to teach possibly in the future with my major in criminal justice. I'm currently enrolled for my Masters in criminal justice and criminology, and I plan to futher my education to teach within that field. During the last past 3 summers I have tutored young children as well as been a mentor to their studies. I enjoy working in this field of study, and plan to continue to do so.
As stated above I enjoy working with children of all ages, I have made a difference in their lives as well as them making a difference in my life. I love the many challenges that teaching brings, and believe its a very good experience to discover. Public school is not always rigorous enough for gifted students. When instruction fails to keep students engaged, they learn poor study habits. Ideally, students master study techniques before entering college either through school instruction or tutoring. I have writing, public speaking and other communications courses at the university level. I have also worked as an editor for the better part of two decades so I am good at identifying writing problems and helping students to correct them.
