My teaching style can be described as "Observant." I enjoy meeting new people of all ages, and my students are some of my favorites. I realize that each student has a different personality which also means they have a unique way of learning and studying. I start the first session by giving the student some work that is easy then increasing the difficulty until I can find their maximum potential. I knew that I wanted to share what I was passionate about with others before I completed my undergraduate program in biology with certification cum laude.  Once I earned my bachelors of science degree, I pursued my masters program slowly having the opportunity to incorporate my love for the ocean and earning an Eisenhower Fellow at the same time.  My masters of science degree is in the natural sciences.  Although I have taught science and math to both public and private classes, grades 7-12, today, I am the vocational/educational specialist for a group home for young mothers as well as a town tutor.

A Little Bit About Me...

I would want each student in my classroom to feel wanted and feel a sense of their identity present even when they leave the classroom. Each student should be given attention. To understand what they feel and how they react to the material being presented to them is very important to me. I would encourage students to learn and let their views be heard. Classroom discussions and debates can be great tools when you want students to become active and to voice out opinions. A Little Bit About Me...

During my undergraduate career at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I obtained a wealth of knowledge in the fields of math and science. I did this by striving for excellence in the classroom and participating in cutting edge research with professors in the Entomology and Organic Chemistry departments. My extensive knowledge of the subjects I’ve studied has allowed me to assist my friends in understanding complex and difficult problems.
