I am used to student-led teaching. The students choose the topic they feel they need the most help with. I walk him/her through an example problem or two and then he/she does a few alone. Once I feel that he/she is comfortable with the topic, I ask whether he/she would like to try any more. This allows the student to take control of their time and learning experience, which is often much more interesting and enjoyable for them. However, I am open to going through the book consecutively. This would allow me to practice and prepare for each lesson specifically. I would continue personalizing the education experience.

School can be tough, but life without school is tougher!

I feel making cards, highlighting, reading out loud helps greatly. Just having someone there that can help you is a wonderful thong to have
I am a high school graduate. I am looking at furthering my schooling in art. I love children and the honesty about them. I feel as if someone teaching or learning by someone their own age can make a big difference. I have been a student mentor for many teenagers and younger children not only through school but through Facebook. Many students come to me with questions about school, family, and just life in general. They know they can trust me to give the best advice I can. ( which also includes sometimes telling their parents if they are hurting themselves or being hurt) I am a responsible person.
