My teaching style changes with the students. In my classroom I am open and honest with my students and always ask them for their input before we learn a new unit. I try to incorporate researched based skills with hands on learning. I have a technology degree so I also make use of the computer when I teach and I have found the students to really enjoy this. My goal is to see academic progress and make sure the children become successful and confident about learning. I believe many approaches to teaching make a great fit for any child because every child learns differently.

I obtained teaching certification for 9-12 English in 2010 and completed my student teaching at ACE Learning Center, an alternative school within St. Louis Public Schools; I also taught at this center during the summer. I have subsitute taught within the Pattonville School District. I currently tutor in the Adult Education and Literacy program at St. Louis Community College at Meramec. I am eager to get started and help students discover their strengths and intellectual capability.
