I am currently the Sixth Grade History Teacher at Williamsburg Collegiate Charter School. My responsibilities at WCCS include developing rigorous objectives for the Sixth Grade History curriculum. Moreover, I serve as a Special Education Guided Reading Instructor for eight, Sixth grade students. I have experience working with children with learning differences both in and out of the classroom setting. In addition, I served as Co-Director of Bear Buddies in Brunswick, ME. for three years. I would be happy to assist students with any courses necessary, as I am confident I can help them learn. I possess strong interpersonal skills which would allow the student to feel very comfortable learning with me. I would like to make the learning experience as fun as possible by using worksheets, visual aids, and any other activities that would assist in the student learning their material. As an undergraduate, I spent nearly three years assisting groups of students with how to learn content for the historically difficult courses of College Chemistry I and II. I have my BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology, which permitted me to learn and acquire a great understanding in multiple areas. I have taught in First grade for the past two years. I have also taught pre kindergarten and kindergarten as well as substitute taught in grades K-6. I have a B.S in childhood education as well as a NYS Teacher Certification. I am currently working on my M.S in childhood education. I have a passion to educate young minds and help them blossom into well rounded responsible individuals. I enjoy getting to know students in order to teach them.
