My greatest joy as a tutor and professor is to witness the "Ah-ha" moment when the light bulb comes on and the student puts the pieces together and comes to understand the topic, and, perhaps more importantly, understands the significance or ramifications of the topic in relation to other topics or disciplines. As the “Ah-ha” moments add up a student’s confidence grows. Ultimately, this confidence in learning is what I am trying to achieve. I want the student to learn and believe that there is nothing he/she can’t achieve with effort and perseverance. I believe that anyone can learn anything. I have been a tutor at the Boys and Girls Club here in decatur for three years. During undergraduate i was a math tutor for two years. For the last year I have been a substitute teacher at the Decatur Public Schools. I have a bachelors degree in business and a MBA from Benedictine University.
