I am currently attending West Virginia University to attain my Masters Degree in Human Nutrition. While I have been here, I have had the opportunity to tutor other students in various classes such as biology, anatomy, nutrition, communications, sociology, english, and psychology. I am most fit to tutor in science classes, since that is what my major has required for me to have a strong focus in. While in college, I spent my time home from school substitute teaching through Frederick County Public Schools. After graduation from American University, I continued to substitute and in the fall of 2005 I took a part-time position at a middle school, teaching Theatre Arts and Music Performance Lab. While teaching, I began my teaching certification through the Maryland State Department of Education, where I completed a course called Inclusion: Making it Happen. I also taught dance at Dance Unlimited and Elite Feet Dance studios in addition to working at numerous children's theatre camps throughout Maryland and West Virginia.

A Little Bit About Me...

I taught in the Wright City RII School District for 26 years, at both high school and middle school level. During that time I taught everything from English and American literature to basic grammar and writing skills. I also taught some reading classes. I have extensive experience in writing research papers and strong skills in grammar and punctuation. I was an assistant principal for two years, and helped develop a reading program for the middle school. As a professional teacher tutoring students was an essential part of ensuring success for many of my students.
