I like to teach using different strategies and methods, because I know all the students in the classroom are not going to learn the same way. I feel it is best to fully understand my content and standards. Then create lessons to teach the students in a way they will learn the material best for them. I teach using various methods: hands-on, kinesthetic, real life learning, music, incorporating other contents and likes, while still creating a routine for structure. I graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in German & History. I have studied abroad twice, and completed a summer semester at Bonn University prior to graduation. I am extremely passionate about history and foreign languages and spend a few weeks each summer abroad. I have been teaching piano for the past four years. I am responsible for teaching theory, history, and playing skills, as well as the preparation of my students for competitions.
