My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : I have taken courses to help my perfect my Microsoft Excell skills. I can help anyone learn how to use this tool and have university-sanctioned activities through which to do so.

I like to teach as if I am one friend talking to another. I find that this is the most relaxed way to encourage learning. While a relaxed atmosphere is important, my parents (both elementary and high school teachers) showed me the importance of completing objectives. I will push you, my friend, to learn as much as possible - and retain that information - during our time together.
I am in my third year at Ball State University. I recently changed my major from Biology to Accounting; therefore, I have lots of knowledge in many different areas - some that aren't listed on my profile. I love to watch people learn, to show them new things and watch them catch on to the processes and apply themselves. I am a believer of showing students several times and then letting them try it for themselves. The most important thing to me in teaching anyone anything is finding out what level they are currently at. In order to learn something, take something in and understand it, one must have something already to attach it to in their minds. I like to adapt my teaching to the personality and learning style of whoever I am teaching, and think that a big part of teaching is help and encouragement.
