While at Springfield College I started tutoring some of my fellow students in the areas of math and science for a little extra cash. I have always wanted to mimic the kind of tutoring I received as a struggling math student in middle school. I was never the best at math until I started to receive tutoring and everything started to click. The extra help I got in math was essential to my studies at the university level and all my previous coursework leading up. I want to be that tutor who helped everything click. When I tutor I try and understand where they are having trouble and try to find the best way of explaining in a way that is beneficial to the student.

I worked for 14 years as a Project Engineer for the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety before deciding to start a new career as a teacher of high school physics. I attended the Transition to Teaching program at Calument College in Whiting Indiana and completed my Student Teaching at Munster High School in Indiana in the fall of 2008. I graduated from Monmouth College with a B.A Degree in Mathematics while being a four-year starter and two-year football team captain.
