I tend to be really flexible and try to adapt my teaching style to the learning style of the student. For students who tend to be more tactile, I might have them handle apples if a math problem references apples. If a student is working on a writing assignment, I will offer suggestions (such as marking spelling/grammar/punction mistakes) and help them learn how to correct the errors so they won't continue to make the same errors in the future.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is to do whatever works, and to get it done. I pride myself on working with my students on their level and being able to understand their personal barrier to grasping the material. I am very conscious of not imposing upon them the way it "should be done". The way it should be done is whatever way makes sense to them and as a tutor, I work hard to find this "way". I have developed the patience to work with students at their pace and to also challenge them to expand their boundaries. Ultimately, patience and persistence are what can be used to summarize my teaching style.
