Because this program is relatively new, a degree in International Business required multiple Finance courses, which allowed me to learn many advanced statistical and mathematical concepts. I have worked with students of varied ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds. I lean more towards the Progressive style of teaching in that I teach my students the skills and strategies that will help them become successful in society. I am also aware that my students learn differently, so I differentiate my instructions towards their individual needs.
I have teaching experience on all grade levels in urban school districts. I am currently a special education teacher in the Saint Louis Public School District, and I have enjoyed the challenge of working with educationally handicapped students and seeing many of them being mainstreamed into the general education population.
