I have a Bachelor's in Computer Science with focus on the Microsoft languages (C++, C#, ASP, dotNEt, etc.) The requirements for this degree was heavy in math. I do, however, feel better qualified in verbal and writing skills. I also have a minor in Philosophy and Theology. This ties in with my High School and middle school upbringing, having attended a Catholic middle and High school as well as the University I attended being a Baptist school. A Little Bit About Me...

While attending Claflin University in the pursuit of obtaining duel BA's in the field of journalism and sociology, my off times was spent in the middle schools of Orangeburg, SC for nearly six years. I spent 4-5 hours in the classroom (daily) as an assistant and tutor/mentor in language arts classes grades 6-8. My majoring in sociology allows me to use human behavioral knowledge to reach kids effectively in order to sustain their focus which allows them to embrace the concept of learning. I graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science TEchnology. I taught school for 5 years. Although i had my own classroom i was never certified since i didn't want to go back to school to take education clases.I have tutored students on all levels of mathematics since i have been in the 5th grade, from elementary on up to collegiate. I enjoy teaching very much. I have taught at The Savannah River College for approximately three years. I must say that it was one of the most rewarding job experiences I have had. I am very patient and my demeanor encourages students to approach me. My philosophy is that nothing is too difficult to learn. With the correct approach, technique and attitude any subject can be conquered. Many college freshmen have looked inside their calculus book and sometimes wonder how they are going to deal with the difficult subject of calculus.
