A Little Bit About Me...

With all of my experience and education, I have had the opportunity to work with all facets of children; from those who require a great deal of help, to those who might just need a little more challenge then what their work was providing them. Having worked with large and diverse groups of children I have assisted in English, math, science, and social studies from grade school to high school. I am very dedicated and passionate about what I do; therefore the goal of the child would become my goal; only ending in accomplishment.
Not every method works for every child; with one exception, patience. I demonstrate and exemplify patience. I like to make the students think logical instead of methodically deriving the answers. I try to concentrate on teaching problem solving skills, as this would strengthen their base. I tutor my peers and help them understand the programming concepts that pose a challenge for many. I was also involved in Society of Women in Engineering organization, where we visited middle schools to mentored girls to pursue science subjects. I believe teaching is a gift and sharing knowledge is the best way to accept this gift. I am patient, easy going, and considerate with kids. I love listening to them and believe they are great teachers to us at times. I like to hold intellectual conversations with them and also play games such as chess, scrabble, suduko.
