Composition is one of my top subjects! I am a college student about to earn my Bachelor;s degree. My mother is a published author, and I have always done exceedingly well on essays

I prefer the style of patience and hands on. No computers, no spell check. the only way to learn is to do it yourself.
I have tutored adults for free when they have needed a good eye to evaluate their work. Many adults can not spell and have trouble building a basic sentence. I am good at proofreading and helping the thoughts to flow better. I ask a lot of questions in order to help the student understand the thought process.

In 2000 I volunteered in the local high school's journalism class because of my passion for writing. The following year I was offered a position as yearbook adviser, and I further developed my skills with high school students. Since 2004 I have been a private tutor, teaching all elementary subjects as well as most middle school and high school curriculum. In 2005 I began teaching annual writing workshops at Simpson College for 6th - 12th grade students. In 2006 I attended substitute teacher training, and I began substitute teaching in 2009. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a passion for literacy and working with children. After graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in English, I began working at an educational publishing company as an editor to help create textbooks for students. In 2008 I returned to school to get my M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction for Children's Literature, which was a mixture of literature and education (theory, psychology, curriculum) classes.
