My comments on tutoring World History : Love world history - critical to success as an International Relations major

Relaxed. I do not discipline students. If students want to learn they will put in the effort - I will not be their babysitter. I try to make class interesting, involved, and active, and to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Following my graduation from the University of Connecticut I pursued a career in the insurance industry but have also spent time working as a youth group leader and worked as a part-time tutor for several years. While living in Connecticut I tutored homebound high school age children who were either out on medical leave or expelled for disciplinary purposes. While attending undergraduate school in Colorado I tutored classmates in Spanish, Italian, and writing. I also volunteered as a law clerk and taught Greek Mythology and Sociology to middle and high-school students expelled from school and placed in the Boulder County Juvenile Justice Center.
