I have a varied educational and professional background with experience in teaching students in several venues. In high school, I tutored math and reading to elementary students. I taught reading and religion immediately after graduation in 1991. As a young professional, I taught economics with the Junior Achievement program. My needs for additional business training lead me to work on a business degree with a focus on accounting. I coached youth soccer for four years and later went on to coach high school soccer. I hold both a recreational and youth coaching license from SCYSA. I currently tutor youth in reading and data interpretation.

I love tutoring and mentoring kids, period. It's spiriturally rewarding to me as an adult to have a part in a child's development. I believe every child is special. There's is no doubt in my mind that if a tutor approach is based on patience, quality time and empathy, he or she will be successful and effective. As a Business Education teacher in the classroom, I also have experience with home based instruction for special education and working with at-risk middle school students in an after school program. I have taught four years in middle school; this school term (2010-2011), I will be teaching part time high school computer education in the mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and will be available afternoons.
