In additional, centering teaching around specific student needs is equally important. This is a challenge when students feel pressured to pass tests, but it can be done! I embrace an inquiry-based model of teaching/learning.
I have 23 years as a public school teacher in Rochester, NY. I hold a MS in Education in Secondary Social Studies, and a BA in Communications/Journalism. I am very familiar with the New York State Education Department's requirements in the areas of Social Studies and English Language Arts.
