I love teaching. While I have also been a counselor and administrator, I managed to be able to at least tutor along the way, with a few exceptional years. I found that children were especially responsive to me, so I often found myself with elementary children (who, under my tutelage, managed to "catch up" an/or improve their grade point average -- often to their parents' delight). I love helping people who are learning in a field that I love. I chose to go into accounting while I was still in high school and I haven't had a regret yet. It's a very useful skill to have and I've found it to be in demand and very versitle over the years. I enjoy trying to find new ways to explain things to people, it's a challenge. Working with such a diverse population of students ranging from grades 3-12, I have learned that each child processes information in different ways. Assisting them in overcoming their learning disability has taught me to understand and identify their struggles and how they can work through them. Within 7 years, I had taken a medical practice struggling to survive financially to a 3-physician, 2-midlevel practice. That experience launched a career.
