A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory). During high school, I tutored for the Upward Bound program. I tutored fellow high school students in math, science, english, and history. I taught biology undergraduate laboratories during graduate school. My background is math and science. I have experience preparing exams/quizzes and grading exams, quizzes, and research papers.
