By now with this long experiences practicaly and theoratically , i am in a position to teach varios level and ages . i stronly believe in getting practical experience fist and then go to the teaching field . As i had two maths certificates and a B.Sc degree in civil engineering from england / UK that gave me an encouragement and confidence to love and teach mathematics for more than 10 years now . I am currently a Math Tutor at TSU and enjoy it very much. I work with a range of students from undergraduate to graduate students with pre-calculus, calculus I & II, algebra, geometry and applied mathematics. I can draw from my work experience to explain the context of the problem and its relevance to a project. While some of the mathematical principles are a pure intellectual joy in their own right, I find that some students need to approach the problems with the practical application

Daniel R - Murfreesboro, TN 37130 (49.3 mi) - Calculus II Tutor - $34.50/hr.
Tutoring students and resolving confusion are simply additional problems to solve in math. Since many students learn in different ways, one must be able to explain the same concept in various ways. The development of these alternate methods of description is a great way for not only the student to learn but also for the tutor to better understand the material. In my final year at MTSU, Spring and Fall 2010, I had the pleasure of tutoring in mathematics. I worked for both the department of mathematics and the athletic enrichment center, each providing a different tutoring experience. This tutoring, coupled with my extensive math coursework, has provided a greater mathematical understanding and teaching experience.

Tanya G - Murfreesboro, TN 37129 (49.5 mi) - Calculus II Tutor - $58.50/hr.
I love helping people, particularly children, reach their full potential by becoming life-long learners. Whenever I meet with a student, whether it be one-on-oe or in the classroom, I strive to identify his/her learning style and to create a connection to the lesson to his/her future experiences in the world beyond the classroom. I believe that education is the key to creating citizens with a sense of self-efficacy and a belief that one man or woman can make a differnce. While earning my MA in English, I spent two years tutoring students in English and training/mentoring other tutors. For the last two years, I have been designing and delivering trianing curriculum. I have plans to return to Middle Tennessee State University in January 2012 to earn my PhD in Math and Science Education.
