As a Bradley University graduate, I graduated cum laude with a degree in chemistry from one of the best chemistry departments in the midwest. I tutored basic inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry I, II, and advanced organic throughout the course of my junior and senior years. I then went on to attend Union University to receive my Doctor of Pharmacy which is where I currently am. I have taken more chemistry along with advanced medical physiology. I am a very thorough and detail-oriented person, as I do not like to take short cuts. I want my students to understand the topic and get to the root of the concept and then work on problems and questions.I would consult many books and prefer making notes and learn organic chemistry by writing equations. Students retain by going over and reviewing the topics discussed earlier. Homework and review questions help them in using the topics reviewed and giving them better understanding.

I enjoy the challenge of tutoring students struggling with a subject. As a student who had much trouble understanding math and biology, I learned various techniques over the years to become a better thinker and researcher in each discipline studied.
