A Little Bit About Me...

I use verbal and visual techniques for teaching and prefer to add an element of kinetic learning for tutoring. I explain the material in the book, preferably after the students have read the chapter. I also provide time for questions and answers, as well as group discussions and projects. I rely on exams only to show me if the students are understanding the material. If not I offer to tutor them or suggest they find a tutor.
I tutored math and science for Carl Albert State College from Sept. 1994 to May 1995. I tutored mostly in Algebra, but also in word processing, and anatomy and physiology. I tutored for Sheridan Community College in Sheridan WY from Jan. 2000 to July 2004. I tutored mostly higher maths, ranging from algebra to business calculus.
