I began my study of American Sign Language (ASL) at the tender age of 12, then studied Latin in high school with Mrs. Ellen Conrad. When I reached college, I continued my study of ASL while tutoring friends in Latin. I have studied Arabic and Irish Gaelic at the college level, and dabbled in Spanish, Hawaiian Creole, and various African languages. In addition to learning, I love to teach. I began teaching ASL while I was still a high school student, and continue tutoring friends in ASL and Latin. As a college student, I began teaching and coaching fencing to all age groups, but specifically students in grades 6-12.

I obtained a degree in Fine Art from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2007. I have experience working in multiple artistic mediums. My art work has been displayed at Planet art gallery in Mt. Lebanon Pa and also at Erie Art Museum. I enjoy doing volunteer work, I taught cheer leading at St. Anne school in Pittsburgh pa. I have also taught dance classes at 3D Dance studio in Pittsburgh Pa.

I have worked with children and youth of all age levels and nearly every ability. I ran an afterschool program for the Salvation Army, ran a boys home for troubled boys and worked in St. Paul City schools as a substitute teacher and a night teacher at an evening school. A Little Bit About Me...

I have volunteered teaching grade-school age children in theater at Sweetwater Center for the Arts in Sewickley, PA and teaching creative writing to fifth-grade students at the William H. Ray School in Chicago, IL. I have had paid positions teaching a workshop in comics to middle-school students at Sewickley Academy and teaching drawing and basic self-publishing at an after-school program in West Lebanon, NH. My education at CCS has included not only art, graphic design and digital production, but also the basics of teaching and self-promotion.
