I mentored elementary students who were labeled at risk due to low performance in reading. In 2001, I began teaching pre-k in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I attended a math academy when I was little, Kumon, and now I want to create something like that. I have had a lot of experience with kids because I have volunteered at many hospitals around in Katy, I am a member of the Red Cross Association, and I babysit occasionally.

A Little Bit About Me...

I began tutoring people when I was in the eigth grade. I decided I wanted to help out at the school across the street from my middle school in Colorado. I enrolled in a class that allowed us to go and assist the teachers and help the students. I fell in love with kids then for sure. I already knew I liked them because I started babysitting when I was 11 and couldn't stop! Then in ninth grade, a neighbor failed kindergarten and asked if I would starting coming over several days a week to help him understand what was being taught.
