My comments on tutoring Drama : Elementary and Secondary

In my experience, successful students are the ones who embrace learning with a multitude of strategies to choose from. I have always been a visual learner and theatre arts performer, so I tend to gravitate toward strategies that have roots through visual learning and teamwork which allows the students to learn by creating and practicing with others. I have amassed a great deal of knowledge through continuing education and real-world teaching experience. It has allowed me to perfect the way I deliver instruction to students by utilizing a variety of teaching strategies, tailoring my approaches to deliver the best outcome for my students. I think it takes a lot for one teacher to reach all of types of students who are all at different levels of interest in the subject being taught as well as at different levels of understanding. However, I feel it is the teacher's responsibility to give them all equal opportunity to learn. It is not just about grades and assignments, that is just the means to an end, but it is about learning. In order for the students to learn, the teacher needs to be passionate about the students as well as the subject that is being taught. That will instill in the students a desire to learn and understand.
In having a science background, I have not only learned laboratory skills and reasoning skills, but I have learned how to increase efficiency, communicate in a clear manner, and write in a way that is direct and clear.
