I have a strong desire to use my abilities and interests as a professional educator. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting. I have a strong math, reading and social sciences core subject background. Since January of 2010 I have been serving as a substitute teacher in both Pueblo city and county school districts. This work includes providing one-on-one assistance to students who need additional support. I have also worked with students that have a variety of disabilities, from pre-school through high school. A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked as a tutor for Pueblo Community College from 2009 to 2010. I have also coached baseball for youth from 2002 to 2004. Have have experience teaching young students along with older students.
On hands approach, using examples of real scenarios helping students understand not only how something works but why they would need it, or how to use it. I also use visuals to help show, for stundents not understanding from listening.

My teaching style starts usually with a question to spark and interest, or perhaps another question. I idenify with the audience and that is extremely helpful. I am patient and enjoy when a student finds confidence by learning something new. I use some props and examples to aid a particular subject, and I speak English very well so there is no miscommunication.
I am interested in working again as a Mathematics Tutor, I've had a very enriching previous experience from former employers at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I've obtained two degrees, a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S.B.A. in Economics. I love education and working along with others. I'm very passionate in continually cultivating myself and growing, in fact, my last employer hired me to teach English in Taiwan! It was wonderful experience.
