I obtained Secondary Teacher Certification in Social Sciences. I taught high school and middle school Spanish for two and half years at public schools, and completed my student teaching at an alternative school for juvenile criminals. Patience, consideration, and encouraging words are simple tasks to help the self esteem of children in a child's education. With a degree from Purdue University and continuing on to get a degree in engineering, I am engaged in many areas of science and math. Even at a young age I taught my younger sister basic mathematical and reading skills even before she entered kindergarten; we called it "school". The youngest, my brother, in which we are both diagnosed with ADHD, is amazing. I quickly learned to be patient with him when helping with his homework because I can see the same frustration on his face I had at his age when trying to concentrate on a difficult task.
