A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a love for science, which prompted me to pursue a BS in biology and MS in microbiology. While doing so, I was able to acquire experience instructing biology labs for undergraduate students. After graduate school, I gained a stronger understanding of science while working in clinical and research microbiology labs.
I like to teach all age levels. I try to teach in a way that allows them to learn best. Every student has their own way of learning, some are more visual while others are more text driven. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taken many courses over an extended period of time. In 2002 I entered the Surgical Technology program at Jefferson Technical College; I managed a 4.00 and missed only a couple of days. During the many testing phases of the program I stayed and helped get other students through the program, I was commended on my drive and determination to help other students, all while maintaining my grade average. I pulled down some of the highest scores in the programs history. This didn't go unnoticed, as shortly after graduation I was asked by the Dean of Allied Health and Surgical Technology Program Coordinator to come back and teach. I think the best way to teach is to try to find examples that my students will relate to when it comes to instruction. Students can have very different life experiences, which can help, or hinder, their ability to learn certain subjects. My role is to help those students that have difficulty with understanding certain subjects to work with them to come to an understanding of the material, and learn from it.
I have a wide variety of professional experience in addition to my educational background. I have nearly a quarter century of experience as an auditor, accountant, financial analyst, HR administrator, etc. My career has been spent at large corparations, small businesses, government agencies and as a free lance independent contractor.
