I work hard to instill self-confidence in all my students because I believe every one of them has the ability to learn. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching experience includes high school Home Economics and Special Education, elementary third grade, middle school Language Arts, adult reading at Job Corps, preschool, Emotional Handicapped at the elementary level, and substitute teaching. I worked as an evaluator for the state educational competency exams in elementary and high school for three different states and as such graded the language arts/writing/reading sections. I have also tutored on line this past year in reading, language arts and math. I have over 40 hours of graduate work in education and am certified to teach Elementary K-8 and Science and Language Arts at the middle school/junior high level.

I worked as a synthetic organic chemist at Eli Lilly pharmaceutical company for five years. I spent the next 20+ years as a stay-at-home mom and homeschooler, teaching my three children from kindergarten until they graduated from high school.(My two oldest are now college graduates and the third is presently in college.) During my years of homeschooling, I taught both chemistry and biology to high school students in our homeschool group. I have also tutored friends who were in nursing programs and struggling with chemistry. I enjoy algebra and geometry and have done some tutoring in each subject. I really love to teach and to guide students.I think every student has different ability to learn so first i judge the students and then try to teach in different ways like by using white or black boards,by giving different examples related to a particular topic..etc.I believe dat a good teacher first has to become a good friend of students and then by guiding at last he/she plays a role of parents.
