I have over twenty seven years of hands on experience in the accounting industry. The standards in the accounting program at UAH are set very high. Through the 10 course curriculum, all the test were taken from the CPA exam. Even though I thought I had learned alot at UAH, I have learned a great deal more by working and obtaining a certain amount of hands on experience. Using my undergraduate degree in accounting, I have 10 years work experience as an internal auditor and a computer accounting staff accountant for three CPA firms. I have an additional number of years of work experience as a mid-level manager of computer programmers and web developers. I have most recently been tutoring students working toward GED certification at a local adult education center. My teaching, tutoring, style emphasizes flexibility. While there are specific learning units that should be taught and retained by the student, the flexibility of the teacher, or tutor, will assist the learning experience for the student.
