I've taken every math course under Calculus I. I am patient, and reliable. I really enjoy math, science and computers in general. I have been known to be someone who can explain math easily. I'm am student at University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou) studying Chemical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. I have tutored before in the areas I’ve listed. The most important element of teaching is to realize one is teaching a person. In a tutoring situation, it is especially important to discover exactly how to present material to the student. As a teacher, I seek to understand the student and then present the material using terms and examples the student can understand. Finally, I literally believe the only “stupid question” is one the learner doesn’t ask.
I hold a Bachelor and a Master of Science degree in Science Education. I was certified in the State of Louisiana to teach Chemistry, Biology, General Science, and Computer Literacy. I am very determined and driven to complete my education in the field on Psychology and then move on the Medical School. Being a Psychology Major has taught me intensive research and presentation skills and has allowed me to be critical and analytic from a scientific point of view.
