A Little Bit About Me...

After I graduated from university I have been working as a Spanish teacher for two years and I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. I have experienced both teaching at elementary school (Dino School of Prague) and high school levels (Austrian High School). In addition since November 2011 I have been working for the worldwide non-profit organization created by the Spanish government called Cervantes Institute in Prague where I acquired a really valuable experience and the knowledge of the best techniques and methods of teaching a foreign language. I also attended several courses for professional teachers of Spanish as a foreign language organized by the same institution. I really enjoy teaching students and helping them build confidence in their ability to speak Spanish, in every lesson my goal is to create a challenging and fun learning environment.

I had volunteered my time to tutored some kids in my neighborhood. This was the time while i was in college. I have tutored the subject of Math 8th grade level and Math in the second grade level. I have volunteered to tutored a friend in college the subject of French at Hunter College. She received a good grade and was happy. Over 13 years of working with students that were not scholars initially. After learning skills to improve their educational/learning experience, they became more scholarly, and enjoyed learning. This is key. They just need to change their perspective, and learn how to make "learning" enjoyable, like it was in kindergarden.
My teaching style is interactive, many of my former students would characterize it as "coaching". I always empower the student to find their way and to have them become "pros" in the learning process.
