I have been a high school teacher of Latin and ancient Greek, for three school years, and I spent an additional school year as a high school librarian and study skills course teacher. I also have a year of college Latin instruction experience, and a year as a TA for an ancient history professor. Over the years, I have had at least three permanent clients as a tutor, working with ancient Greek, Latin, and German, and I have done other ad hoc tutoring and professional translation work.

Following the reduction in force made necessary by budgetary constraints, I taught for ten years at the Crystal Springs School in Assonet, MA as a Special Needs teacher. While rewarding, I missed the challenge of more literary pursuits and began teaching evening classes at a local communuity-based organization. My tutoring experience had its inception in that setting.

From September 1991 to the present I have been a math instructional aide for learning disabled students at Milton High School. I attend classes with them and I work with students in academic support classes.
