I like to discover what my students already know about the topic and to expose any misconceptions. Brainstorming activities work well for me. I like to help define the topic in common terms, not the classic dictionary method. I use presentation, discussion, videos and hands on activities. Most of what I do is inquiry based.

I have taught in both public schools and a school for multiple handicapped children. I am also experienced with high achieving physics students. I believe in learning through experience, and finding a venue that the learner understands to set the experience. I also believe in test taking , essentialist philosophy, because test taking to demonstrate comprehension is necessary to communicate understanding and advancement to college and beyond.

As a Worcester Polytechnic Institute underclassman, I was very much driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BS in Mathematics and BS in Physics, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. In addition, I have experience researching, and the results of my senior thesis will be published in ZAMM (Applied Mathematics and Mechanics), a distinguished German Journal. My teaching style is informal , taking the students from "where they are" to "where they should be". I have had good results tutoring and teaching students from the Middle-School through the Adult levels. My greatest satisfaction comes when math-challenged students finally "see the light".
